UNC Chapel Hill Hospital

UNC Chapel Hill Hopsital is a 799-bed Level I facility with 33 operating rooms. This facility has a very busy operating schedule. I worked both day shift and night shift at UNC. I was able to do a fair amount neurosurgery cases as well as three kidney transplants and one liver transplant. I complete two months of night shift trauma rotations where I was able to provide anesthesia for a variety of acute traumatic injury patients such as gunshot victims, stabbings and motor vehicle accidents. This included a number of pediatric craniotomies as well as facial reconstruction surgeries. I also had a few emergency 8+ hour vascular cases that were quite challenging.
